Lumley averaged 22.5 points a game this season for St. Mary's. For his career he has nearly 1500 points and hopes to break the school scoring record of 1883 next season. Recently he
was named to the 2008 DeafDigest Sports Boy’s Basketball All-American First Team.

The St. Mary's basketball team finished the season with a 17-9 record. They play many of their games against schools that can hear.

Michael plays many other sports at the school and spends a lot of his time working with the younger students.
